The Challenge

Todd Huxley offered a unique challenge. Already a well respected builder operating as Todd Huxley Builders, his reputation for high quality work was famous through the southwest. Todd also realised that for his company to move forward and become a viable asset in the future he needed to re-brand and reposition the company as a corporate organisation, while maintaining the Todd Huxley influence and reputation.

Jack in the box was commissioned to not only re-brand the organisation but to de-personalise the organisation, facilitating any future need to sell the company. Todd’s workmanship required that thebox position the organisation through a high quality delivery.

The Idea

The complexities of succession planning are indeed challenging. Our idea was to develop a new brand so as to create a powerful relationship between the Todd Huxley name which had a potent reputation and goodwill and the new iconic brand. This would allow for an evolution and make way for the new iconic name to one day stand on its own. ‘Studium by Todd Huxley’ was born. ‘Studium’ being a derivative of the Latin translation of ‘passion’.

The Solution

A detailed strategic plan was created for Todd. This drove the entire process. From the new name right through to the future execution of the brand. The brand development itself was driven by Todd’s passion for quality building. The icon is indicative of growth and strength while the colours offered a bold and passionate suite to work from. This then translated into a host of critical pieces of collateral, media and digital executions.

The Last Word

Todd Huxley Homes was refashioned and re-branded as ‘Studium by Todd Huxley’ bringing a fresh modern look to a well established company. The new concept featured a new marketing tool, ‘The Lounge’ – a relaxing studio above the Studium offices where prospective purchasers can enjoy a quiet atmosphere to discuss their needs over a coffee. The Lounge features, conceptual art, photographs and plans of Todd Huxley’s designs and construction.
