Google act as gatekeepers and they make the rules when it comes to your website appearing on search.
Before we launch into a long-winded article about SEO – which is as complex as you may think – there’s one thing you CAN change and it’s one of the main reasons you could be losing sales and not receiving enquiries.
Google cracked down in 2015 when it began favouring websites that were ‘Responsive’ (or you may know the term “mobile friendly”). This means they can be viewed on desktop, tablet and mobile. Usability and functionality are increased and responsive sites meet today’s web standards.
We know that back in 2014, mobile usage overtook desktop usage… which means if you haven’t yet considered a responsive site, you now don’t have a choice! The same consideration must be made for your email marketing.
If Google hasn’t scared you enough, here are some additional ways a non-responsive site or email is damaging your business:
- 40% of people will choose another website if the first one they land on is not mobile friendly.
Would you turn away 40% of customers walking through the door?
- 70% of customers delete emails immediately if they are not fit for a mobile device
- 91% of small businesses do not have responsive websites
- 67% of users are more likely to make a purchase with a smartphone on a mobile-friendly site
Don’t wait until it’s too late!
Yesterday it was okay. Today it is critical.
