Lowdown

What started out as a little homebrew project, soon became the kernel of an idea to develop a premium craft beer brand.

With strong nautical roots, we needed to develop a name and brand that was able to carry the theme as well as the positioning as a premium beer. While it was craft beer, it didn’t need to look like the typical craft beer with a crazy label and a whacky name.

As such, we went about developing something that would go beyond just a name but could be adopted by the drinker – AHOY!

Not only associated with the adventures of the sea, it represents the coming together to be merry and celebrate. The design leans into the theme, from the helm wheel to the lighthouse strips.

Bold nautical colours, with a flash of silver, deliver the final blow, complimenting the various design cues of a quality, premium beer.

We imagine that this Premium Larger is only the beginning though…
