The Challenge

Enjoying a long relationship with BREC, thebox was asked to redevelop the organisation’s website. Having developed the previous website following the Centre’s rebrand in 2013, it was time for a new and exciting direction which took full advantage of the immense number of technological changes that had taken place during the last few years.

The Idea

Based on a unique approach to the development of the site, thebox created a modular design that allows BREC to maintain strong continuity while ensuring that each page can be created in a dynamic and flexible manner.

This form of development requires strong synergy between design and code to enable BREC to create striking page layouts that maintain the brand’s look and feel while also being malleable to the sites content needs.

The Solution

While the customer experience of the site is simple and easy to navigate, the hidden gem is really the engine room operations of this site. BREC’s ability to update and edit content through a customised Content Management System (CMS) provides limitless opportunities for the organisation to expand the website’s content internally, without the need for new layouts and designs to be created.

An endless series of combinations are at their disposal and have been implemented in a fashion that provides, not only a dynamic look and feel, but one that is contiguous across each page without feeling like each page is the same or locked to a layout pattern.

thebox also assisted with a Virtual Tour, providing remote customers to explore the venue without needing to come to Bunbury. This offered new opportunities to demonstrate the capabilities of venue to Eastern States and overseas companies, artists and tour promotors.

The Last Word

With strong integration of Google Analytics along with Google Tag Manager, the site provides BREC with a bounty of information and data, extending right through to their online ticketing system.

Internal team members control all aspects of the site which ensures that the content is always up to date and current – a crucial element of any entertainment industry communication tool.

In addition to the website, thebox has also assisted BREC and the Marketing Team with developing a Brand Story, revised Corporate Styling plus a host of flexible assets and templates for use by the team use on an ongoing basis.
