Lowdown
It all began when a team of environmental specialists were stepping out on their own, with a strong reputation, client base, and a clear sense of where they wanted to go next. All they needed was a name and a brand to match…and the right agency (of course!)
The naming process was a highly collaborative process, which landed on Terravias: Terra for land, Vias the Spanish word for roads. It’s ‘them’ in two words, guiding their clients through complex environmental terrain.
The icon brings the name to life. A globe constructed from a winding road, the idea is simple but layered. The road speaks to direction and guidance, and the organic curve of the road keeps it from feeling rigid or corporate. It’s a mark that works hard across every application, including online avatars where the circular shape really comes into its own.
The wordmark is chosen for the way it balances simplicity with quiet elegance. Clean, well-proportioned, and modern without trying too hard. But we didn’t leave it straight out of the box. The ‘t’ and ‘e’ were customised to fine-tune their proportions and add a layer of craft that lifts the logotype. Small details, but the kind that matter when a brand needs to signal credibility.
Colour does the differentiating work – a burnt orange drawn from WA’s red earth, sitting alongside deep grey, with supporting blues and greens that nod to the natural surroundings. In a sector where green is usually the default, orange is a deliberate act of distinction. A brand as purposeful as the advice they provide.
