Lowdown
With new ownership and a new injection of life into the business, South West Pets was looking for an evolution of their brandmark.
With previous investment in the development of a character (Ollie), the brief called for Ollie to become a more important part of the brand while retaining much of the vibe that had previously helped to build the business.
Ollie contained plenty of equity but other characters had been created to demonstrate the diversity that South West Pets offers in store. To combat this, we developed a range of costumes for Ollie to dress up in, providing significantly more character to the brand.
To accompany this, we recrafted the typography and gave it a more approachable and vibrant feel while still maintaining the structure of the original brand.
To launch the brand, we developed a new animated TV Commercial which features Ollie on an adventure. The campaign has been developed to allow for rapid updates of the background to reflect the time of year or special occasions.
Complimenting the rebrand and campaign was a new eCommerce website, fully integrated with their internal Point of Sale (POS) System, providing even more ways for people across the South West to spoil their pets.
The final instalment came with the launch of the new Busselton Store where we created a host of new signage featuring Ollie in all his glory.
This was a project filled with fun, personality and refreshed look with as much bark as it has bite!
