The Challenge

With ambitions of becoming an official Trail Town, Nannup is gaining traction as one of the most attractive locations for MTB in the state.

This newfound attention, due to the construction of TANK7, was met with some additional challenges including ways to service the ever growing demand from visitors.

The Idea

thebox was consulted to write a paper for the Nannup Trail Town Project. The project had a range of outcomes including Community Consultation, Marketing Strategy, Marketing Plan, Experience Nannup Brand and the TANK7 Brand.

Through discussions with Council, Councillors and the local community, we developed the Strategy which would lay the foundation for the rest of the project and beyond.

The Solution

The result of the Strategy was a clear set of Action Items which included tasks that were included in the project plus a host of additional recommendations to assist with the growth of Nannup.

This included the development of an Investor Pack which involved extensive community consultation as well as updating of the Shire’s Corporate Business Plan.

Adding a fresh new look and feel to the Shire’s collateral ensured a renewed interest in the growth of the town from both locals and investors alike.

The Last Word

Like any small regional location, it’s difficult to grow but Nannup has been successful in forging a plan to diversify its offering and build a stronger community.
