The Lowdown

When integrating big plans into a community, it is vital to include those immediately affected.

And so it was with the signage plans, for the most recently developed area of Vasse, in WA’s south west.

‘Napoleon Boulevard’, a major shopping thoroughfare, required colour and life to excite and inspire, as construction of the surrounding retail area proceeded.

Artists and muralists, Ian Mutch and thebox’s, Dune Haggar, collaborated to conduct artistic workshops with the students of Vasse Primary School and Cape Naturaliste College to produce street screening, which would add life to an otherwise dull building site.

As well as learning skills from the best of the best, students now see their artwork on eye-popping banners and signage in the Estate.
